FASUS
Web · PHP · Virtual Exhibition Platform
FASUS (Farmaceutski susreti) is a traditional professional conference and exhibition for pharmacists, pharmaceutical technicians, and companies in the pharmaceutical and medical industry in Serbia. Typically held in Belgrade at the Hyatt Regency, the event brings together dozens of domestic and international exhibitors. The platform was built to bring the exhibition experience online — a virtual showroom where visitors could browse exhibitors, view product galleries, and watch conference talks, all from a single horizontal-scrolling interface.
Build a virtual exhibition platform that replicates the experience of walking through a physical showroom. Each exhibitor needed their own branded space with custom backgrounds, colours, and patterns. The entire showroom had to be navigable through a single horizontal scroll — with dozens of exhibitors positioned precisely, separated visually, and accessible through a synchronized navigation bar at the bottom. On top of that, the platform needed conference rooms with embedded YouTube talks, sponsor sections, and per-exhibitor product and image galleries with automated slideshows.
Designed and built a full-width horizontal-scrolling page where each exhibitor occupies a precisely positioned section. Separators repeat between each exhibitor for visual continuity. Each exhibitor's space includes their branding — some with custom background colours, others with patterns or textures. Product and image galleries within each section cycle through slides on timed intervals, giving the feel of a live showroom even without user interaction.
A horizontal logo bar at the bottom of the page scrolls in sync with the main showroom above. Clicking any exhibitor's logo in the bottom bar smoothly scrolls the showroom to centre that exhibitor on screen. The synchronisation between the two scroll positions — the main showroom and the logo strip — required precise calculation and performance optimisation to keep the experience smooth across different screen sizes and exhibitor counts.
Separate sections for conference talks — each featuring the speaker's name, title, company logo, and an embedded YouTube video of the presentation. Sponsor sections with tiered visibility based on sponsorship level. All content managed through a backend built in PHP, allowing the client to update exhibitor data, galleries, and conference content independently.
